912S mounting bolts

I am rebuilding an Air Creation GTE Clipper and will be installing a Rotax 912S on it. I had no idea that the set of mounting bolts and bushings were going to be so expensive. Rotax lists the set at over $1,000.00 U.S. I knew Rotax parts are ridiculously overpriced but this is outright Piracy! Does anyone happen to have a set that they would like to sell in order to help a fellow triker with a limited budget get his newest project airborne? Continue

Trike Accident on December 2006

I didn’t know weather to upload this photos, but then I decided that it is a reminder for all of us to fly safe. This Trike belonged to a friend of mine, the problem he had was stubbornness, I had never seen a person as stubborn as he was, all of us tried to reason with him and he just didn’t listen, actually we had him banned from our group because we all sow this coming. Engine Ignition Noise Rotax 503 Dual Ignition

Free to Adventure Hanger Construction Commences!

Great day for me with the start of our new trike hanger at Morning Star Airfield, the home of the Western Cape Microlight Club in Cape Town. Our hanger will soon be home to six trikes, cant wait to move in. Will post another few pics as progress continues.

The Red Bull X-Alps is an international adventure race event that is one of the worlds toughest events. Wilderness Flying

A light berg wind today. Seems the same for tom. Hopefully after lunch it will have subsided so we can fly. We are starting to get those classic winter flying days - warm and stable! This afternoon is going to be like that. :-) Gerrie will join on the powered hang glider. He loves that little machine - me too! It is such a joy! The easiest, lightest flying machine. Vredendal Flying Club Fly In

Dusted off my trike and headed up to Vredendal for their annual fly in. Getting out off Cape Town Saturday morning was a little interesting, loads of scattered clouds around with the odd bit of fog along the coast. So decided to give it a chance to burn off and only took off at around 10:00. Aconcagua 6950m

Not exactly your average flight although Aconcagua is 6950m high, and bloody cold and windy, we were in fact almost blown off our high altitude camp at 6000m. It's a 2,5 week trip done with good local operators Inca Expeditions. Situated in the Andes - Argentina it's the highest summit outside of the Himalayas, not technical but the extreme altitude makes for an adventure. Hi, I have been with 'free to adventure' since, well basically the beginning. I remeber about 5 or 6 months ago being invited by mark, an email correspondent at the time to join this marvelous site! Breakfast with Kingsley Holgate

On Thursday 8 trike pilots are flying to the Golden Horse Casino from Light Flight to meet Kingsley and have breakfast/coffee with the dude.
