EQ1 WIRELESS HEADSETS
Hi,
I would like to bring to the attention of fellow microlight/trike pilots the arrival of the new wireless communications system that I have had the fortune of assisting in the development over the last 3 years.
As a microlight instructor and flying in both my own aircraft and a multitude of students aircraft I was dismayed at the constant problems with innefficient or faulty comms. These issues cause immense frustration and at the end of the day money is lost for the school and the student misses out on fly time. Thre had to be a better way!!
Gary Sargeant, a physicist specializing in military communications is also a trike pilot and equally frustrated in the quality of comms equipment out there, he had developed his own wired system quite early in his trike flying days however between us we thought that the world was ready for a new and distinctly better system--- "I will make it wireless" he said "wireless headsets and wireless PTTs ! "
Ha, easy to say but it took 3 years of dedication to be the first in the world to achieve those goals, a fully duplex wireless system (not Bluetooth) that is easy to instal and comfortable to wear it boasts a multitude of features that include active noise canceling headsets AND microphone, voice alerts,up to 4 radio interface including cell phone and mp3, auto off, fantastic 'SoftVOX' feature and the ability to run 'peer to peer' for those situations that you need to discard the students own faulty system and just get going!.
I have flown with them in my school environment for the last 13 months and it has been a joy, no wires, very quiet, easy to operate, the students love them.
