Hi Ross
Aerotrike is Safari with Rotac 582 and fly from Morningstar. Not doing much trike flying as I am partner in Bushbaby so unless perfect weather prefer 3 axis. Goodluck with training.

I joined this and then didn't pay much attention, but recently have found loads of good stuff. When you asked which trike I flew it would have been a Q 462, but I am now instructing with a QTM 912.
Anyway, have resigned from the Army and coming to live in Cape Town!
Hello,
my Brother Heiner is now in S.A. four weeks long....and i have to stay here in cold Germany....brrr...hope he will have the chance of some good flights....
See you in the sky :-)
Thanks for the invite. My trike is hangared on a farm up the West Coast, I don't fly around Cape Town much. How's your training going, when are you due to finish?
NO LUCK FINDING THE TIRES YOU SUGGESTED, SO AM PUTTING ON THREE GOODYEAR FLIGHT II TSO'D 700-6-6 THEY SHOULD WORK WELL.
WILL TRY THEM AS SOON AS THE RAINY, DRIZZELY, OVERCAST,WINDY
AND GENERALLY UNCOOPERATIVE WEATHER CHANGES (EVEN SLIGHTLY) . FOR THE BETTER. THANKS FOR THE HELP
Hi ross. Flying trikes from springs airfield. We really have a nice group
of pilots and we do fly every weekend. Enjoy having a look at all the photos
and videos on the site.
Sad photo's, (the storm) The 'slime' fixed the punctures, however the trike sat for a week without being moved and the materal apparently settled to the bottom (lowest spot) of the tires, all three. Ed pittman made the next takeoff and described the tooth jaring viberation as very interesting. I observed the bad shaking of the trike from the ground and upon the subsequent landing. currently checking out fixed wing and the tires you sugested and will replace the out of balence tires before next flight
HAVING SOME COOLANT PROBLEMS AND OTHER MINOR GLITCHES, INCLUDING FLAT TIRES (ONLY ON THE BOTTOM- THANK GOODNESS) DARNED GOATSHEAD THORNS. THREE BOTTLES OF "SLIME" OR AS US
HARLEY RIDERS CALL IT "HOG SNOT", SHOULD FIX IT AND PREVENT FUTURE DIFFICULTIES. WEATHER IS COOLING DOWN BUT STILL FLYING THIS WEEKEND.
Hi Ross
Thanks for the comments regarding my pics. Unfortunately I don't fly anything anymore. I run my own photo/video studio and just love taking photos - hobby thing too.
HEY THERE DEF NEED A PARTNER I COULD NEVER TRY THIS ALONE. WILL GO AND HAVE A LOOK AT THE WEBSITE. I have a friend who does para gliding but she has already fallen and broken her jaw! will def put this on my lift of achievements I need to conquer.
Currently, the company that produces the Pterodactyl doesn't have a website. It's DFE Ultralights. If you send me your email, I can send you a copy of the price sheet.
This first link is a very nice resource with plenty of old newsletters (they're really entertaining to read), building tips, history, modifications, etc.
Will do when I actually get my hands on this thing, I ordered it a year ago last month. Due to be shipped this friday weather permitting (from zepher hills florida).
The topography here is the foothills of the Sierra mtns, aprox 50 miles from Donner summit and lake Tahoe. About 2 miles from Folsom lake--senic flying 80 miles from San Francisco.
Hi Ross, Thanks for the comments, I have only been flying since 2002, and because I am a Gerry-triker, I relish every moment that I have in the sky. I will prepare some pictures and comments for a future contact.
This is a great site, I have thoroughly enjoyed the videos that I have downloaded, Cheers...Keith
