Flying the Grey

Never mind flying the blue, we have had two more days of extreme weather on our return trip back to South Africa. It reminds me of a saying that once you have climbed a mountain you are only half way there and boy does it feel like we have been climbing a mountain. The main challenge has… Continue

I'm not airborne just yet, this is only a picture of a completed Pterodactyl. I thought it would be nice to show people what it should end up looking like. This particular Ascender has a de-rated Cayuna 430. My Pterodactyl will be running on a Rotax 277.

Hi,
Per the request to see photos of my topless wing go to
http://community.webshots.com/user/alanmack777
and scroll to the topless album. I've just added some pictures of the trailer for you that transports the trike with the wing still on the undercarriage. In the background of the trailer picture with no trike is my off road trailer. This is a 3 ton trailer with a large flat bed to take the wing folded in off road conditions. The trailer can take up to 4x220lt fuel drums. You can download any pictures you wish off the above website. If you want to fly the plane let me know - it is based at Petit. Regards Alan

Thanks Mark. My latest toy...the Pterodactyl Fledge soon to be Pterodactyl Ascender is doing very well. I spent last weekend in the garage, building and covering the canard. I was going to paint the canard today, but the local hardware store wouldn't sell me enamel because I'm under the age of 18. Tomorrow I'll bring my mom and get some enamel so I can paint the canard. I'll post a photoshopped picture of what it should look like after it's painted and looking good!

Cheers,

Thanks for the friend add. You guys are the reason why I saved up for years in order to get an ultralight (microlight). The ultralight arrived yesterday.
